Exercise Performance & Pump!
It seems like every company is making a stimulant free pump workout these days and now veteran company USPLabs is joining in on the action with a new release known as USPLabs MaxREPS NO3.
USPLabs MaxREPS NO3 Review & Ingredients
Not much is known about the new pump pre workout from USPLabs, however we do know a couple of key details:
Contains citrulline malate (2:1)
Contains a form of nitrate (NO3)
Each tub measures roughly 372g with approximately 28 servings of 13g each. Once more information is released on the formulation, we’ll be sure to update you.
USPLabs MaxREPS NO3 Flavours, Mixability & Taste
The new USPLabs Max REPS NO3 is officially available in Fruit Punch, however we’ll definitely be seeing some extra flavours pop up such as Blue Raz and Pineapple.
L-Citrulline Malate 2:1 (8g)
4 simple ingredients give you the skin-tearing pumps you’ve always been looking for. The full label is at the bottom of this post This is how to start off an endurance pump pre workout! A nice hefty dose of Citrulline Malate.
Citrulline malate is a combination of the amino acid L-Citrulline and Malic Acid (malate). Citrulline is a precursor to arginine that’s capable of elevating arginine levels to a greater extent than supplementing with arginine itself.
The reason for this is that citrulline has a much higher bioavailability in the body compared to other well known nitric oxide boosters. The end result is greater NO production which not only enhances blood flow to the working muscles, but also gives a pretty badass pump.
There’s more though, malic acid is a potent buffer of lactic acid and ammonia in the body which helps to increase endurance and stamina during tough workouts. So right off the bat, due to the 2:1 ratio, we’re getting ~5.33g citrulline and ~2.67g malate (malic acid), the latter of which helps on endurance.
That’s enough to feel all on its own, but we’re just getting started though…
Arginine Nitrate (2g)
Nitrates are potent vasodilators in the body that also exert some cardiovascular benefits in regards to lowering blood pressure. Aside from boosting pumps though, nitrates also enhance endurance by decreasing the body’s consumption of oxygen during bouts of intense exercise. This leads to improved energy efficiency in the body that helps you last longer and stronger.
The points mentioned above go for all nitrates, but Arginine Nitrate has one additional benefit. No tolerance build up!
See, Arginine significantly reduces nitrate tolerance unlike other forms which the body can eventually build up a tolerance to.
This is easily one of the best pump aids on the market, and MaxREPS is one of the very few that is lucky enough to include it.
Massive dose – be responsible
Yet another whopping dose – at best we typically see 1.5g, but many products are popular for dusting in 1g or less. Definitely not the case here.
With such a high dose, we need to remind you: do NOT mix this with heart medication and definitely not erectile dysfunction medication ever in the same day. A hefty dose of nitrate will lower your blood pressure, and combining it with these can be disastrous.
L-Citrulline? Didn’t we already get some citrulline above?
Yep, we sure did. But, that also came with some malic acid. Here, we’ve got pure unadulterated L-Citrulline. Stacking pure citrulline on top of the 8g of citmal that we already have will further enhance your pumps but also add a few other benefits.
L-Citrulline is also a great endurance booster thanks to its role as an intermediary in the Krebs Cycle. It will help buffer ammonia buildup in muscles, which can significantly impact athletic performance. Citrulline will increase endurance and overall ATP production to help sustain you throughout the toughest workouts.
So if you take the full serving size here, you have 7.33g citrulline!!! That’s borderline ridiculous, but sometimes you feel like having a borderline ridiculous workout…
Vitamin C (200mg)
Our final ingredient may seem a rather curious choice when some research has indicated that powerful antioxidants such as Vitamin C have a detrimental effect on performance when dosed pre workout.
While this is a known fact, other research has demonstrated that consuming high doses of Vitamin C can actually enhance performance. Moreover, Vitamin C can augment nitric oxide production by preserving the actions of the Nitric Oxide Synthase enzyme (eNOS).
Used alongside the previous three ingredients in MaxREPS, Vitamin C puts a cherry on the top of comprehensive non-stim pump product.
Despite the fact that USPLabs has been accused of being bad boys by the government, this product goes a long way towards forgiveness. MaxREPS will easily land on our Top 10 Pre Workout List under the non-stim category. It’s extremely well dosed and can be stacked with virtually any stim-based pre workout if you need an extra energy boost heading into your workout. If you’re working out late at night, though, MaxREPS is an ideal choice for late night lifting sessions where you don’t want to dose a high amount of caffeine so close to bedtime.
Either way, make sure to grab a tub of this when it’s released, you won’t regret it.
