PEA(Phenylethylamine) is a monoamine naturally derived from the cacao (cocoa) bean involved in elevating mood, focus, mental alertness, concentration, energy and an overall sense of well being. PEA enhances the transmission of dopamine and norepinephrine and acts as a stimulant to the AMPA receptor increasing the levels of acetylcholine in the brain. PEA has the ability to provide energy and clarity support.

Synephrine stimulates the beta-3 receptors with minimal impact on the other receptor sites, functioning promote optimal metabolic rate. Synephrine promotes the release of adrenaline and noradrenaline only in the beta-3 receptor sites (mostly adipose tissue and the liver). Stimulation of the beta-3 receptor sites elicits the breakdown of fat.

Coleus Forskohlii (Standardized for Forskolin) produces its effects by modulating one of the most widely recognized intercellular messenger systems in the body, adenyl cyclase, which converts directly to cAMP (cyclic AMP). cAMP enhances the action of epinephrine on glycogen stores in the liver and muscle cells and enhances the action of the enzyme lipase which breaks down fatty acids. Additional benefits of Coleus include bronchodilation of lung tissue and strengthening the contraction of cardiac muscle. Both of these effects encourage increased oxygen intake and availability. Increasing the available oxygen allows the body to break down more fats and carbohydrates for energy which will lead to some wonderful benefits during any physical activity or for weight loss.

Raspberry Ketones are the aromatic compounds in red raspberries and have a powerful metabolic effect. Though they are structurally similar to synephrine and capsaicin, raspberry ketones work differently. Synephrine stimulates the beta-3 receptors (beta agonist) where raspberry ketones work by increasing norepinephrine induced lipolysis through their effect on HSL. Studies suggest that this is due to raspberry ketones ability to influence the enzyme HSL (hormone-sensitive lipase) to relocate (translocate from cytosol) into the fat cell breaking lipid droplets down into fatty acids in preparation of fat metabolization. More HSL equals more lypolysis! Studies also suggest that raspberry ketones may reduce fat synthesis.

Theobromine is the naturally occurring "feel good" alkaloid found most concentrated in the cocoa bean. Unlike caffeine, theobromine has three methyl groups instead of two (no it´s not liver toxic), and the presence of the third methyl group slows the rate in which theobromine is metabolized and cleared from the body making theobromine is a longer acting methylxanthine compound than caffeine. Although theobromine is related to caffeine and exerts similar effects, theobromine does not stimulate the central nervous system. It instead induces muscular relaxation of the smooth muscle tissue. The addition of Theobromine brings balance, long lasting smooth energy, clarity and relaxation to Shred-ULTRA.

Ashwagandha (Withania somnifera) also known as Indian Winter Cherry and Ayurvedic Ginseng, is renowned and prized as an effective adaptogen. In the Indian Ayurvedic it is used in promoting rejuvenation, mental and physical health, as well as providing supporting healthy aging.

Panax Ginseng (Asian Ginseng) has been used for thousands of years in traditional Chinese medicine and is one of the most coveted adaptogens used today. Panax is prized for its Ginsenoside content which is responsible for its adaptogenic, immunological, nourishing stimulant, metabolic, stamina and anti-oxidant properties. Ginsenosides can be stimulating yet calming and are traditionally known as Yang (hot) producing.

American Ginseng (Panax Quinquefolius) is a ginseng grown in North America and mostly shipped to Asia where it is revered as the powerful adaptogenic Yin (cold) counterpart to Panax ginseng. In traditional Chinese Medicine balance and harmony is always sought and hot must always be balanced by cold.

Siberian Eleuthero (formerly Siberian Ginseng) is cooler and less stimulating than Panax ginseng but may be more adaptogenic and immune system supporting. Many athletes world wide use Eleuthero to enhance focus and stamina as well as aid in recovery from strenuous exercise. As with Ashwagandha and American Ginseng, Siberian Eleuthero was added for its ability to cool off and smooth out the effects of the stimulants allowing for longer lasting metabolic effects without building tolerance or accelerating adrenal fatigue.

Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B-5) has long been a favorite among athletes. Not only is it required for adrenaline production, it also plays a vital role in fat and carbohydrate metabolism, helping to supply the body with energy. There is no storage form for this vitamin. So it has to be provided through food or supplementation.

      Out of the ephedrine free fat burners I have tried, this is the best. It delivers smooth sustained energy with no crash or jitters. I feel that it aided in fat loss as well. Don't expect the product to do all the work for you though. No fat burner can help you if you don't eat right and exercise regularly.
