HBM's original Lucien-metabolite brother (HMB - Beta-hydroxy beta-methylbutyrate) was first discovered back in the 1940s. Our scientists are not completely sure how HBM works, but one popular theory is that it supports the body's ability to minimize protein breakdown and damage to muscle cells that occurs through intense weight-training and exercise.
