1. What are sports drinks and where does they come from?
Sports drinks are specifically designed ready-to-drink bottles of either protein or energy, generally speaking.
These drinks can include tribulus, carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, and other nutritional supplements that bring out the best in your body's performance
Sports drinks come from a variety of different sources and manufacturers. They usually come in either plastic or aluminum bottles to preserve freshness and taste, and to also ensure the highest quality possible.
2. What do sports drinks do and what scientific studies give evidence to support this?
Sports drinks are designed to replenish lost carbs and protein after any strenuous athletic activity or weight lifting session. On the flip side, they are also used for pre-workout energy enhancers to give you an extra boost before and during your training and exercise.
Many studies have been done on caffeine, guarana, protein and many of the other ingredients that are in sports drinks. These studies have shown the effectiveness in promoting muscle growth and recovery and the increase in energy and even mental focus that is associated with cosuming these drinks.
3. Who can benefit from sports drinks and how much should be taken? Are there any side effects or symptoms of deficiency?
Any athlete or bodybuilder can and will benefit from sports drinks. One can or bottle is almost always the recommended serving size. There have been no known side effects directly related to taking sports drinks as long as they are taken as directed by the bottle and not exceeded.
The reality is this. Where can you find a easier, more convenient way to get your protein or energy fix? You can't! That is why sports drinks have been increasing in popularity every single year because everyone is discovering that they rock!
